The American Academy of Nursing’s Expert Panels disseminate and discuss trends in healthcare issues, research, and policy. The products of these panels often include policy proposals, advocacy papers, position statements, and research agendas.

American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)

The American Academy of Nursing’s Expert Panels disseminate and discuss trends in healthcare issues, research, and policy. The products of these panels often include policy proposals, advocacy papers, position statements, and research agendas.

American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA)

The American Association of Physician Assistants was founded in 1968 as the national professional society for PAs. AAPA advocates and educates on behalf of PAs and their patients.

American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)

The American College of Nurse-Midwives is the national professional association representing certified nurse midwives (CNMs) and certified midwives (CMs). ACNM serves to support midwives in their professional pursuits and personal experience.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the nations largest organization representing registered nurses. ANA works with policy makers and agencies to ensure that nursesvoices are heard and reflected in healthcare policy. To supplement their advocacy and policy work, ANA also develops position statements relevant to nursing practice and health policy in order to amplify the views of the nurses they represent.

Association of Physician Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology (APAOG)

APAOG is the professional association representing Obstetrics and Gynecologic (OBGYN) Physician Associates in the United States. We support PAs practicing obstetrics, gynecology, and all its subspecialties by advancing the role of PAs to serve our patients throughout their lifespan. We provide a network to better engage on various topics and serve our community better. Our priority is to promote equitable care through education, research, advocacy, inclusivity, and leadership.

In addition to providing professional support and advocacy for neonatal nurses, AWHONN publishes position statements concerning healthcare policy and nursing issues.

National Abortion Federation (NAF), Clinicians in Abortion Care

Clinicians in Abortion Care (CIAC) is a membership group sponsored by NAF representing certified midwives, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician associates, and students of those professions, working to increase access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and abortion care.

NPWH is a professional organization for women’s health nurse practitioners and other advanced practice registered nurses who provide women’s and gender-related healthcare.

Advocates for Youth published a K-12 sexuality education curriculum called Rights, Respect, Responsibility that meets the National Sexuality Education Standards.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Reproductive Freedom Project

Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health (NSRH)

Founded by nursing students with a desire to build support for reproductive health education and training at their schools, NSRH is a national grassroots organization dedicated to providing nursing students with the education, tools and resources necessary to become social change agents within the healthcare system as it relates to sexual and reproductive justice.

Physicians for Reproductive Health (PRH)

Physicians for Reproductive Health (PRH) organizes, mobilizes, and amplifies the voices of medical providers to advance sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice.

Pregnancy Justice

Works to ensure that no one loses their rights because of pregnancy or because of their capacity for pregnancy, focusing on pregnant people who are most at risk of state control and criminalization: those who are low-income, of color, and drug-using.

Offers CEU-eligible professional development training and technical assistance for health and social service providers on how to give accurate, informed, and non-judgmental referrals for unintended pregnancy and abortion care.

Reproductive Health Access Project (RHAP)

The Reproductive Health Access Project (RHAP) trains, supports, and mobilizes primary care clinicians to ensure equitable access to sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion. By centering communities most impacted by barriers to care, RHAP fills critical gaps in clinical education and care delivery.

An organization working to strategically shift the stigma around abortion in our culture. Committed to fostering open and honest conversations, lifting up all communities, and advocating for reproductive freedom.

A decentralized network of individuals talking about abortion on our own terms and encouraging others to do the same.

Sister Song

A Southern-based national membership organization with a mission to strengthen and amplify the collective voices of indigenous patients and patients of color to achieve reproductive justice by eradicating reproductive oppression and securing human rights.
